Circles of Sakīnah: A Sisters Dhikr & Qurʾān Gathering

In the midst of busy lives, heavy hearts, and constant noise, our souls long for stillness, for connection, for remembrance. Circles of Sakīnah is a gathering created to offer a space of calm, reflection, and spiritual renewal, a space where hearts soften, minds quiet, and souls reconnect with Allāh, surrounded by angels and in beautiful company. Join Ustāḏha Dunia Shuaib & Sr. Yusairah Teli for an evening of dhikr, Qurʾān, and sisterhood.
Together, we will:
⟡ Engage in guided, mindful dhikr to calm the heart and regulate the soul
⟡ Recite Sūrat al-Kahf, a source of nūr illuminating our hearts from one week to the next and a protection from trials and fitan
⟡ Send ṣalawāt upon the Prophet ﷺ, a means of mercy, relief, and closeness to Allāh
⟡ Share in meaningful ṣuḥbah and refreshments
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever recites Sūrat al-Kahf on the day of Jumuʿah will have a light (nūr) that will shine for him from one Friday to the next.”
And Allāh ﷻ reminds us:
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allāh do hearts find rest.” (Qurʾān 13:28)
What our dīn has taught us for centuries, research now affirms: Practices like rhythmic remembrance, recitation, and reflection help regulate the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and create a deep sense of emotional grounding. Dhikr slows the mind, the Qurʾān anchors the heart, and ṣalawāt softens the soul. This is more than a gathering; it is a return, gently guiding the heart from overwhelm to calm, from distraction to presence, and from heaviness to sakīnah. Come as you are. Stay for the sisterhood. Leave with a heart that feels lighter, steadier, and more connected.
