Circles of Sakinah 10/1: A Sisters’ Dhikr & Quran Gathering

In the midst of busy lives, heavy hearts, and constant noise, our souls long for stillness, for connection, for remembrance.
Circles of Sakinah is a gathering created to offer a space of calm, reflection, and spiritual renewal, a space where hearts soften, minds quiet, and souls reconnect with Allah, surrounded by angels and in beautiful company.
Join for an evening of dhikr, Quran, and sisterhood with:
Ustadha Dunia Shuaib
Hafiza Mariam Chemaou
Sister Yusairah Teli
Together, we will:
Engage in guided, mindful dhikr to calm the heart and regulate the soul
Recite Surah al-Kahf, a source of nur illuminating our hearts from one week to the next and a protection from trials and fitan
Send salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ, a means of mercy, relief, and closeness to Allah
Share in meaningful suhbah and refreshments
The Prophet ﷺ said:
Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf on the day of Jumuʿah will have a light (nur) that will shine for him from one Friday to the next.
Sahih al-Jami’ (Hadith 6470).
And Allah ﷻ reminds us:
Verily, in the remembrance of Allāh do hearts find rest.
Surah Ar-Ra'd 13:28
What our deen has taught us for centuries, research now affirms practices like rhythmic remembrance, recitation, and reflection help regulate the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and create a deep sense of emotional grounding.
Dhikr slows the mind, the Quran anchors the heart, and salawat softens the soul.
This is more than a gathering; it is a return, gently guiding the heart from overwhelm to calm, from distraction to presence, and from heaviness to sakinah.
Come as you are.
Stay for the sisterhood.
Leave with a heart that feels lighter, steadier, and more connected.
The first 30 sisters to arrive will receive a complimentary drink, so be sure to come on time. We look forward to spending the evening with you!
